Easy Overnight Breakfast Cereal
Living a healthalicious lifestyle doesn't have to mean all or nothing, and definitely doesn't happen overnight. In fact, it shouldn't happen overnight because then you're less likely to stick with it. I'm all for baby steps.
What DOES happen overnight is this yummy cereal. Baby step your way away from the bagels, english muffins, and other high-sugar foods that set you on that daytime coaster ride.
There's nothing like having something waiting for you in the morning.
If you're the kind of person who sees a recipe and high-tails it, then try this: throw some rolled oats and some chia seeds and some raisins and some cinnamon into a pot. Cover with milk about a half inch over and set in fridge overnight. In the morning, add more cinnamon, cut fresh fruit, chopped walnuts, and a drizzle of local honey or pure maple syrup, if necessary.

OVERNIGHT BREAKFAST CEREAL
*Serves 2 for 2 days.*
2 cups oats 2 tbs chia seeds 3 tbs raisins 1 tsp cinnamon 1 1/2 c almond or coconut milk
In a pot with a cover, mix oats, chia seeds, raisins, and cinnamon. Cover with milk to about a half inch above the mix. Set in fridge overnight.
In the morning, you should have something that resembles hot oatmeal. If you want more liquid, go ahead and add more milk to your liking. Then add your favorite cut fruits, a sprinkle more cinnamon, nuts, and a drizzle of local honey or pure maple syrup.
